ASTA Arnold Rigby Graduate Scholarship

Amount : $2,500

Applicant must be a permanent resident of the United States or Canada who is an entering or returning graduate student studying travel and tourism and hospitality at an accredited college or university in the United States or Canada. Applicant must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale and be able to demonstrate a clear focus on and commitment to the tourism subject area. Application, scanned copy of driver's license (or passport) as proof of permanent residency, resume, two letters of recommendation (from academic and professional tourism-related individuals), official transcript, and a scanned two-page original essay are required to be submitted. Required essay question: "You have chosen to pursue a career path in the travel and tourism or hospitality industry. What changes have you observed thus far in the industry, and what changes do you anticipate in the future of the industry? Where do you see your future potential in this industry?" Award will be sent to the recipient's financial aid office for the fall semester to cover tuition, books, educational fees, and research-related expenses only.
