ASTA Holland America Line Graduate Research Scholarship
Amount : $4,000
Applicant must be a permanent resident of any country and be an entering or returning graduate student enrolled at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States or Canada with a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Applicant must be conducting research on a topic with a tourism focus and be able to demonstrate a clear focus on and commitment to the tourism subject area. Application, scanned copy of driver's license (or passport) as proof of permanent residency, resume, academic letter of recommendation, official transcript, a scanned five-page research proposal, and a one-page reflection essay are required to be submitted. Required essay question: "Explain how you expect your career to serve the travel and tourism or hospitality industry, and/or how the practical application of the findings of your proposed research study will serve the travel and tourism or hospitality industry." Award may be used to cover tuition, books, educational fees, and research-related expenses only.
