Applicant must be a permanent resident of the United States or Canada who is enrolled at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States or Canada as an entering or returning graduate student. Applicant must be able to demonstrate a clear focus on and commitment to the tourism subject area; minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale is also required. Application, scanned copy of driver's license (or passport) as proof of permanent residency, resume, two letters of recommendation (from academic and professional tourism-related individuals), official transcript, and a scanned two-page original essay are required to be submitted. Required essay question: "You have chosen to pursue a career path in the travel and tourism or hospitality industry. What changes have you observed thus far in the industry, and what changes do you anticipate in the future of the industry? Where do you see your future potential in the industry?" Award will be sent to the recipient's financial aid office for the fall semester to cover tuition, books, educational fees, and research-related expenses only.
