National Program applicants must be in grades between 7 and 11 and demonstrate profound physical challenges (with physical disabilities); Tampa Bay Florida Program applicants must reside in Florida counties of Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, or Sarasota. Applicant must have profound physical challenges and have satisfactory academic performance with a minimum "C" high school scholastic average and significant community service or social contribution. One page essay and financial need are required. The award is a prepaid scholarship for 2 to 4 years.
