NTA Pat & Jim Host Undergraduate or Graduate Scholarship

Applicant must be a permanent resident of Kentucky who is a full-time student (accepted or enrolled) in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at any accredited four-year university in Kentucky with a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Applicant must be an undergraduate student enrolled in a tourism-specific program or area of focus, or a hospitality program with a focus on travel and tourism; or be a graduate student who is able to demonstrate a clear focus on and commitment to the tourism subject area. Application, scanned copy of driver's license (or passport) as proof of permanent residency, resume, two letters of recommendation (from academic and professional tourism-related individuals), official transcript, and a scanned two-page original essay are required to be submitted. Required essay question: "Discuss what segment of the travel and tourism or hospitality industry your current program of study focuses on. What opportunities are you taking advantage of as you prepare for a career in the industry? Please tell us about your academic and extracurricular activities and experiences, i.e. work, internships, etc., and how they tie into your present and future goals." Award will be sent to the recipient's financial aid office for the fall semester to cover tuition, books, educational fees (for undergraduate students), and tuition, books, educational fees, and research-related expenses for graduate students.
