Outstanding Rural Scholar Recognition Program
Amount : $45,000
Applicant must be a Texas resident who is enrolled in an eligible Texas institution, and has been nominated by an eligible sponsor located in a rural area of Texas. High school applicant must rank in top quarter of class (for a minimum class of 48) or have an overall grade average of "B." Undergraduate applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Essay, three letters of recommendation, and standardized test scores required. Recipient must work in a rural area of Texas one year for each year award is received.
