Applicant must display financial need and must intend on majoring music

Applicant must be a graduate of H.M. King High School. Two letters of recommendation required.

Awarded by the music, art, and biology departments on a rotating basis.

Selection is based upon audition and academic achievement.

Applicant must demonstrate academic achievement and must audition with music faculty.

Applicant must be regularly admitted to the University and be able to demonstrate contributions outside the classroom in areas such as music, theatre, student government, athletics, church, and community.

Applicant must be an undergraduate music major who has developed a musical composition based on one of Leo Ascher's original themes. Selection is based on quality of composition.

Applicant must be a qualified entering first-year violinist, violist, cellist or pianist with chamber music experience. Applicant need not plan to major in music. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Applicant must have a minimum 2.50 GPA and be a full-time, music major with an interest in composing and/or being involved with the Wilmington Symphony Orchestra is desirable.
