Applicant must be Latino and must demonstrate a high academic record.

Applicant must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference is given to applicants majoring in biology, chemistry, or other science.

Applicant must be a non-traditional student with a minimum "85" average and must complete degree within four semesters.

Selection is based upon financial need and academic merit. Applicants who experience economic hardship, but who may not show financial need under FAFSA guidelines, may also apply.

Applicant must demonstrate high academic achievement.

Awarded to the outstanding senior English major at the Spring Honors Convocation. Applicant is nominated by the English Department.
