Applicant must have an interest in becoming a technical engineer.

Applicant must have a minimum "B+" average and a minimum SAT I score of 1250. Applicant should be the first in his/her family to attend college in pursuit of a degree in finance and/or computer information systems/statistics.

Applicant must be a Staten Island resident and be entering a bachelor's degree program.

Applicant must demonstrate service to school, leadership qualities, and academic achievement.

Applicant must excel in African-American courses and be a member of a club that has contributed to the quality of life for African Americans.

Applicant must demonstrate success in calculus and must be enrolled in or have completed Calculus 220.

Award open to high school juniors and seniors in Philadelphia, Houston, Newark, and New York City.

Awarded to the outstanding senior English major at the Spring Honors Convocation. Applicant is nominated by the English Department.

Selection is based upon financial need and academic merit. Applicants who experience economic hardship, but who may not show financial need under FAFSA guidelines, may also apply.
