Applicant must meet two of the following three requirements: have a high school GPA of at least 93 (3.8), rank in the upper 10 percent of their graduating class, or score at least a 1120 on the SAT math and reading (24 on the ACT).

Applicant must have completed at least 24 transfer credit hours and have a minimum 3.25 GPA.

Applicant must show satisfactory academic progress. Financial need is considered.

Applicant must be a Texas resident attending a public school in Texas at least part time. Selection is based upon financial need.

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, have a minimum 2.5 GPA, and be able to demonstrate academic merit and financial need.

Applicant must have published within the last calendar year a piece related to any aspect of the Spanish colonial period in Texas.

Applicant must be a graduate of Kingsville High School, TX, rank in the top quarter of class, and have a minimum combined SAT I score of 1050 (composite ACT score of 23). Three letters of recommendation required.

Applicant must have a minimum 2.75 GPA and be a member of Phi Theta Kappa. Two letters of recommendation required.
