Applicant must be of good character and show academic and musical promise.

Applicant must be a graduate of Burns High School and must be a promising student of instrumental or vocal music.

Applicant must major in art photography, English writing, foreign language, history and social sciences, math and science, music or theatre arts.

Applicant must demonstrate outstanding interest and potential in musical theatre.

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen between ages 18 and 25 as of January 1 of the award year and show an interest in music composition.

Applicant must audition on Fine Arts audition days.

Applicant must be majoring in music. Scholarship is awarded based upon a recommendation by the music faculty.

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and must be a leader in his/her school's or church's musical program.

Applicant must demonstrate musical performance ability, high scholastic standing, and contributions to major department.
