Applicant must be motivated and hard working and must have completed SPAN 301 and 302.

Selection is based upon achievement in an academic area, special talent in the creative arts, demonstrated leadership and service in church, community, or school organizations, or athletic ability.

Applicant must be a resident of Mecklenburg or surrounding counties.

Applicant must demonstrate a strong academic record, self-motivation, and service to others.

Applicant must demonstrate activities that promote a diverse Student Association and campus community.

Applicant must have risen to leadership posts within and outside the Student Association. Applicants applying for the $1,000 award must have a minimum 2.9 GPA.

Applicant must be a leader or member in Student Association organizations and activities. Applicants applying for the $1,000 award must have a minimum 2.9 GPA.

Applicant must have exceptional academic performance and select a major in the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences.
