Church Scholarships

Applicant must be an active member of an Evangelical Lutheran Church in America Lutheran Congregation.

Applicant must be a graduate of a public school in Newport News with a minimum 3.25 GPA, a minimum SAT score of 1000 and involvement in school, church, or community.

Applicant must be the dependent child of a full-time professional, rostered Lutheran church worker.

Applicant must be nominated by his or her congregation and must be a member of Lutheran churches within the North Carolina Synod of the ELCA.

Applicant must be a woman, be a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, and be preparing for a career in Christian service.

Applicant must have a minimum 3.6 GPA and a minimum composite ACT score of 26 and must demonstrate school, church, and/or community involvement.

Applicant must be the child of a Methodist minister and submit identification and request for consideration in writing. Applicant's Resident Bishop must provide written verification of parent's active status and church affiliation.

Applicant must have been a member of the United Methodist Church for at least the past two years with demonstrated involvement in the Church and is in service to others.

Applicant must be one of the following: under age 23 and an unmarried dependent of a full-time Christian Church minister or missionary; a resident or employee of Juliette Fowler Home; the spouse of a full-time student at Brite Divinity Scho...
