Minority Scholarships

Applicant must be an African-American student with a minimum 3.0 GPA, minimum composite ACT score of 23 (combined SAT I score of 940), and at least 3.5 units of mathematics. Selection is based upon merit.

Selection is based on financial need. Transfer applicants must demonstrate academic merit.

Applicant must demonstrate financial need and an interest in pursuing teacher certification.

Applicant must be an African-American who is a National Achievement finalist, semifinalist, or commended student. Finalists and semifinalists receive $2,000; commended students and selected others with a minimum 3.0 GPA receive $1,000.

Applicant must rank in the top quarter of class, score in the 75th percentile on the SAT Reasoning or ACT, and be a minority Missouri resident.

Applicant must be working toward teacher certification. Application must be submitted to the Arkansas Department of Higher Education.

Applicants must be incoming African-American or Hispanic descent freshman students admitted directly into the engineering college.

Applicant must be a member of an underrepresented minority group who is a U.S. citizen, has a minimum 3.0 GPA, and is planning to pursue graduate study in the physical sciences from a non-Ph.D.-granting institution.
