Travel Scholarships

Applicant must be a scholar and citizen or permanent resident of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, Slovakia, Estonia, Latvia, or Lithuania, and who hold a Ph.D. degree or its equivalent. Preference is given to scholars...

Awarded to applicants pursuing advanced research and study in the library, archival, and artifact collections of the Hagley Museum and Library. Preference is given to applicants with highest travel costs to Hagley.

Applicant must be a member of the OAH who is working toward the completion of a dissertation or first book. Stipend is for travel and lodging expenses.

Applicant must be a truck stop/travel plaza employee or the dependent of an employee. Letters of recommendation and an essay are required to be submitted.

Applicant must demonstrate financial need and submit a 500-word essay. Award may be used at a proprietary travel school.
