Awarded to the outstanding senior English major at the Spring Honors Convocation. Applicant is nominated by the English Department.

Applicant must be of Native American descent or studying Native American studies.

Applicant must be of Native American descent or demonstrates a commitment to Native American culture and issues, enrolled as a full-time student and submit an essay.

Applicant must live within a 100-mile radius of Cortland and must demonstrate a superior academic record over a minimum of four full-time semesters. Selection is based upon portfolio submission.

Selection is based upon academic achievement and potential for success in law school.

Applicant must have a minimum 2.75 GPA and 12 credit hours and must plan on a career in teaching.

Applicant must rank in the top 15% of class and be enrolled as an incoming freshman in the School of Business or public justice.

Applicant must have a minimum 2.5 GPA.

Applicant must demonstrate academic merit and enroll full-time. Preference given to African-American applicants.
